Why should I apply for free school meals?

If my child is confirmed as eligible, what will they be entitled to?
If your child becomes eligible for free schools meals, they will receive a daily allowance of £3.10. This covers a 2 course lunch or a 30p breaktime snack and a main meal.
If any of this balance is not used on a particular day, it will dissapear from the account and £3.10 will be reissued again the following school day, the money does not accumulate. If a students spends over their FSM allowance, they will go into a minus on their account. Parent/carers are expected to repay any monies spent over the FSM allowance of £3.10.
Breakfast – Free to all students, regardless of FSM eligibility
Break time snack – £0.30
One course lunch (main) – £2.80
Two course lunch (main & dessert or drink) – £3.10
