BBA News is our student-led, initiative which aims to inform and entertain both students and staff at BBA. BBA News places students’ voices at the centre of its production and aims to involve as many different perspectives and experiences as possible.
BBA News is split into two sides: video and magazine. BBA News, the programme, is released every half-term and is available to watch during the HEARTS Ceremony at the end of the half-term.
BBA News can be watched during students form time pastoral slots. The episodes can also be found on this page.
BBA News, the magazine, will be available for students to freely pick up across the academy, with copies being stored in the library. KS3 students can read a copy during their library lessons if they choose. Alternatively, form tutors can request copies for their tutor group to read during a pastoral slot.
Through BBA News, students can:
- Improve their communication skills by speaking to guests
- Improve their confidence by appearing on camera or working with people they wouldn’t usually interact with
- Help them feel a strengthened sense of belonging at the school by having the chance to voice their opinions
Ultimately, the goal of BBA News is to allow students to display and develop their skills, voice the thoughts of students and keep BBA informed on all ongoings. We hope that you enjoy watching and reading about all of the magnificent events at BBA.
