Information for candidates

GCSE Results

GCSE Results Day will be on Thursday 20^th August 2026 9:00am-11:00am.

Collection results will take place in the school Main Hall.

If your child is unable to collect their results in person, please contact the exams team for further information on how to do this. Their contact address is bbaexams@bluecoatbeechdale.co.uk

We advise all students to come into school on the day so that they can collect their results, see their teachers once more, and meet with members of the Bluecoat Sixth Form enrolment team to receive guidance, advice and secure their post-16 place.

Staff from Bluecoat Sixth Form will also be available to guide and support, as well as enrol students who will be joining in September.

After this time, results can be collected from Bluecoat Beechdale reception during the Academy open time from September.

Statement of Results

Bluecoat Beechdale Academy can print out a Statement of Results. Please email the exams office with the following information:

Candidate number (if know)
Last year exams were sat
DOB

Lost Certificates

If you have lost your certificates or did not collect them , you will have to contact the individual exam boards for copies (AQA, OCR, Pearson/Edexcel, WJEC or VTCT). Please remember this is not a free service and each exam board will charge you for obtaining this information.

If you can no longer remember which exam board your subjects were with, you should check whether a friend from school has their results, and ask them who their subjects were with as we do not hold that information.

Former Students

Students should email bbaexams@bluecoatbeechdale.co.uk and state:

Students must inform the Exam Team of the date they intend to collect their certificates so that they can be prepared and checked. Photo ID (driving licence, passport etc.) will be required when collecting certificates. This process may take up to 2 weeks because the exam teams need to access archived storage or have an exams periods.

Third Party Collections

These are available if students are unable to collect their certificates themselves. The student must send a copy of their Driving Licence or a copy of the picture page of their passport together with the third party information. Please email the exams office with this information, who will send a confirmation email to be passed on to the third party. This must then be presented to reception together with a personal photo ID so that the third party can be identified. Certificates will not be handed over unless the school can be satisfied that the transaction is genuine. Bluecoat Beechdale Exams must be informed of the date for the third party collection.

All requests can take up to two weeks to process. Certificates will be placed at reception when they are ready for collection and the student informed.
