GCSE results day 2024!
We are so proud of all our students at Bluecoat Beechdale Academy. Our year 11 cohort have embodied the BBA Way to ensure they get the best results. This has also enabled them to move on to achieve their hopes and dreams.
Angel Asitok: Angel achieved 2 grade 9’s, 2 grade 8’s, 3 grade 7’s and an L2 D* in Health and Social Care. Angel also achieved full marks on her coursework in this subject. Angel joined BBA in December 2023. Angel was fully aware of the hard work ahead in order to catch up on the curriculum. Angel assured us that she would do this. The first day she started BBA, Angel stood in her tutor line up reading her English textbook. This was not a simple gesture but a statement that Angel was going to use every moment here at BBA to excel. Angel always had a book in her hand revising and spent her break and dinner times in the library studying. Angel also attended every revision session available, often staying until the study centre closed. Angel is a studying machine who understands that you must give your absolute best to achieve your goals. Angel knows exactly what she wants to do in life and how to accomplish it. When Angel left BBA on the final day, she was asked how she would spend her summer. Angel’s answer was simple, she will study and further her knowledge ready to face her next challenge.
Ali Choudhry: Ali achieved some of the highest results in the year group. Ali achieved 4 grade 9’s, 5 grade 8’s a grade 7 and a grade 6. We are so proud of Ali; he has worked incredibly hard and deserves these results. Ali is positive, resilient, kind and curious. These characteristics will certainly see him achieve every success in the future.
Kiah Betts: Kiah achieved a grade 8, 3 grade 6’s, 3 grade 5’s, a grade 4 and L2D. When Kiah reached Year 10, she set herself goals that would require focus, dedication, and hard work. Kiah rapidly became a standout student in all her lessons. Kiah became a role model for her fellow students and received recognition at every year group celebration. During work experience at a Primary school, Kiah did herself and BBA proud by demonstrating professionalism and maturity that her employers stated would guarantee her a career in teaching in the future. At school events, Kiah i always willing to represent her peers and display all the characteristics of a model BBA student. When it came time for exams, Kiah was an inspiration to her peers, putting in extra time and effort to ensure her study groups revised and supported each other.
Amara Thompson cried tears of happiness as she opened her results. Amara achieved a grade 7, 4 grade 6’s, a grade 5, 2 L2M and a L2D. Amara has made BBA proud to have her as a student. Amara’s behaviour, attitude to learning and grades are top notch, and she has achieved a fantastic set of results. Amara has made the most of her time at BBA and has set herself up to have a promising future. We have witnessed Amara grow from a polite young lady into a confident and intelligent young woman. Amara has gone from strength to strength and will be missed by all. We wish Amara all the best and look forward to updates regarding her journey through higher education.
