Here at Bluecoat Beechdale Academy we are raising funds through a crowd funding campaign for reading pens.
Reader pens can instantly scan words and sentences to verbally read them back to students and provide dictionary definitions.
Students with reading difficulties can use these pens to find out how words sound and what words mean. This enhances students’ access to reading materials – developing their independence and confidence.
